| Adhesives, Fillers & Sealants |
| There are many different types of adhesive, some are for interior work such as fixing furniture joints whilst others are for exterior work. There are also general purpose and specialist adhesives, for example wood glue, tile grout etc. You also need to decide on the type of applicator you are looking for: tube, spray, brush. Regarding fillers, you must again determine whether you require interior or exterior fillers. The most common interior filler is one used to fill cracks and old drill holes, but there are also fillers you can use fill holes in woodwork. Exterior fillers are more havy duty and must be resistent to rain and other weather conditions. These could be used for filling in broken brickwork for example. Sealants aswell may be used internaly or externally. Common uses of sealants are in bathrooms and kitchens to waterproof around sinks, baths and showers. Essentially sealant is used anywhere that two edges join where a waterprrof finish is required. |
